Abstract

The low learning outcomes of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education are due to teachers implementing learning models that are less in accordance with students' interests, resulting in many students being less active in learning, resulting in a lack of understanding of the material given. There are still many students who show a passive attitude and do not contribute much in groups. The problem to be discussed is the Influence of the Think Pair Share  Cooperative Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education at SMP Negeri 5 Sukawati. The study uses a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design model. Data were collected through multiple-choice objective tests containing 30 questions on the material of the Development of Hindu History in Asia. Through the t-test and the difference in the average posttest results in the control class (78.38) and the average posttest results in the experimental class (83.57). This is also strengthened by conducting an independent sample t-test on the control class and the experimental class. Based on the calculation of the posttest t-test, the significance result (2-tailed) was 0.004 <0.05.
