  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Information

The International Journal of Law, Tourism, and Culture is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality research in the fields of law, tourism, and culture. The journal welcomes original research articles, theoretical studies, and reviews that contribute to advancing knowledge and academic discussions.

Focus and Scope

International Journal of Law, Toursim, and Culture (IJLTC) is a scientific journal intended to publish research results or conceptual scientific articles on the correlation between law and culture. Therefore, manuscripts may discuss legal aspects related to some disciplines and issues in the field of general social sciences, among others, and not limited to:

  1. Anthropology of law
  2. Approach that looks at the connection between law and culture from the perspective of particular legal branches or doctrines
  3. Historical school of law and culture
  4. Human rights law
  5. Law and culture in law and development
  6. Law and cultural economic development
  7. Law and gender Issues
  8. Law and ideology
  9. Law and languages
  10. Law and multiculturalism
  11. Law and society
  12. Law and tourism
  13. Law and the rights of indigenous peoples
  14. Legal culture approach
  15. The idea of social justice

Submission Requirements

  1. Originality: Authors are required to submit only original, unpublished work. The manuscript should not have been previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Language: Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors are encouraged to ensure clarity and correct grammar to improve readability and comprehension.
  3. Format: Manuscripts should be formatted according to the journal's submission template (available on the journal's website). Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should include the following sections:

  1. Title Page:
    • Title of the paper (concise, descriptive, and informative).
    • Full names of all authors with their affiliations and contact information.
    • Corresponding author’s contact details (email, phone number).
  2. Abstract:
    • A brief summary (150-250 words) of the research, including the main objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions. The abstract should be written in a single paragraph and avoid references to other literature.
  3. Keywords:
    • List 3-5 keywords that best describe the topic of the manuscript.
  4. Introduction:
    • Background information, research problem, objectives, and significance of the study.
  5. Literature Review:
    • A review of the current research and theoretical framework relevant to the topic.
  6. Methodology:
    • Detailed explanation of the research design, methods, and data collection processes used in the study.
  7. Results and Discussion:
    • Present and discuss the findings. This section should clearly explain the implications of the results and relate them to the existing literature.
  8. Conclusion:
    • Summary of key findings, their implications, and suggestions for future research.
  9. References:
    • All references must be listed at the end of the manuscript in APA style (7th edition). Citations within the text should follow the author-date format.
    • Example: (Smith, 2020).

Ethical Guidelines

Authors are expected to adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the journal and follow the COPE Code of Conduct. Manuscripts should:

  • Be free from plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and other forms of unethical publication practices.
  • Avoid fabrication or falsification of data.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Ensure proper acknowledgment of sources and contributions from all parties involved.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (available on the journal’s website).
  2. Peer Review: All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
  3. Revisions: Authors are expected to make necessary revisions within the stipulated time frame and respond to reviewers’ comments thoroughly.
  4. Final Decision: The editor-in-chief, in consultation with reviewers, will make the final decision on whether the manuscript will be accepted, revised, or rejected.
  5. Acceptance and Publication: After acceptance, the manuscript will be published in the next available issue. Authors will be notified once the publication date is confirmed.

Publication Ethics

  • Open Access: The journal follows the principles of open-access publishing and all articles will be freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to share, copy, distribute, and adapt the work, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors.
  • Copyright: Authors retain copyright of their articles. By submitting to the journal, authors grant the journal the right to publish the article under the CC BY 4.0 license.
  • Plagiarism Detection: All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work. All conflicts of interest should be clearly stated in the manuscript.

Fees and Charges

There are no submission fees or article processing charges (APCs) for publication in the International Journal of Law, Tourism, and Culture. The journal is committed to providing open-access publishing at no cost to authors.

Review and Publication Timeline

  • Initial Decision: 2-4 weeks from submission.
  • Peer Review Process: 4-6 weeks.
  • Revisions and Final Decision: 2-3 weeks after receiving reviewer comments.
  • Publication: Accepted articles will be published in the next available issue.
