Dalam upaya meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif berkelanjutan di tengah disrupsi informasi, perpustakaan Undiksha perlu mengadopsi dua pilar utama yaitu kepemimpinan transformasional dan transformasi digital. Esai ini akan menganalisis secara mendalam bagaimana kombinasi strategis dari kepemimpinan transformasional yang visioner dan implementasi transformasi digital yang adaptif dapat menjadi katalisator bagi Perpustakaan Undiksha untuk tidak hanya bertahan, tetapi juga berkembang dan menjadi garda terdepan dalam menyediakan layanan informasi yang inovatif dan relevan di masa depan. Tujuan dari makalah ini untuk: (1) Menganalisis peran kepemimpinan transformasional dalam proses transformasi digital di Perpustakaan Undiksha; (2) Mengevaluasi sejauh mana transformasi digital telah diimplementasikan dalam pelayanan dan manajemen perpustakaan; (3) Mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kepemimpinan transformasional dan transformasi digital dalam menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif berkelanjutan dan (4) Merumuskan strategi yang dapat diterapkan perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan daya saing melalui sinergi antara kepemimpinan dan digitalisasi. Kajian pustaka ini menyimpulkan beberapa hal yaitu: (1) Kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki peran signifikan dalam membangun semangat perubahan, mendorong inovasi, dan menciptakan budaya organisasi yang adaptif terhadap tantangan digital di perpustakaan Undiksha; (2) Transformasi digital telah mulai diterapkan dalam bentuk sistem layanan elektronik dan digitalisasi sumber daya, namun masih menghadapi kendala dari sisi infrastruktur, kompetensi SDM, serta tingkat adopsi oleh pengguna; (3) Keunggulan kompetitif berkelanjutan hanya dapat dicapai apabila terdapat sinergi antara kepemimpinan dan transformasi digital, di mana teknologi tidak hanya diadopsi sebagai alat, tetapi juga dimanfaatkan sebagai strategi pengembangan organisasi jangka panjang; dan (4) Strategi peningkatan daya saing perpustakaan Undiksha dilakukan melalui perumusan visi digital yang tepat, mendorong inovasi, mendorong pengembangan kompetensi SDM dan memperluas kolaborasi. Makalah ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi secara teoritikal dalam mewujudkan keunggulan kompetitif perpustakaan di masa depan melalui kepemimpinan transformasional dan transformasi digital.

Abstract

 

In an effort to increase sustainable competitive advantage amidst information disruption, Undiksha library needs to adopt two main pillars, namely transformational leadership and digital transformation. This essay will analyze in depth how the strategic combination of visionary transformational leadership and adaptive digital transformation implementation can be a catalyst for Undiksha Library to not only survive, but also thrive and become the vanguard in providing innovative and relevant information services in the future. The objectives of this paper are to: (1) Analyze the role of transformational leadership in the digital transformation process at Undiksha Library; (2) Evaluate the extent to which digital transformation has been implemented in library services and management; (3) Identify the relationship between transformational leadership and digital transformation in creating sustainable competitive advantage and (4) Formulate strategies that can be implemented by libraries in increasing competitiveness through synergy between leadership and digitalization. This literature review concludes several things, namely: (1) Transformational leadership has a significant role in building a spirit of change, encouraging innovation, and creating an organizational culture that is adaptive to digital challenges in the Undiksha library; (2) Digital transformation has begun to be implemented in the form of electronic service systems and digitalization of resources, but still faces obstacles in terms of infrastructure, HR competency, and the level of adoption by users; (3) Sustainable competitive advantage can only be achieved if there is synergy between leadership and digital transformation, where technology is not only adopted as a tool, but also utilized as a long-term organizational development strategy; and (4) The strategy for increasing the competitiveness of the Undiksha library is carried out through the formulation of an appropriate digital vision, encouraging innovation, encouraging the development of HR competencies and expanding collaboration. This paper is expected to provide theoretical contributions in realizing the competitive advantage of libraries in the future through transformational leadership and digital transformation.
