Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) is often hampered by an excessive focus on administrative-managerial aspects rather than on the social interaction dimension. This study aims to analyze collaboration patterns and communication strategies between school elements as key factors in the successful implementation of SBM at Sari Mekar 2 Public Elementary School, a school that maintains service quality despite limited infrastructure. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observations and semi-structured interviews with the principal and teaching staff. The results revealed that the effectiveness of SBM at this school was driven by three main factors: flexible participatory leadership, professional collaboration among teachers in curriculum adaptation, and transparent communication with parents and the school committee. The findings indicate that open communication patterns can compensate for the lack of physical and digital resources by strengthening social capital. The study's conclusions confirm that the synergy of interpersonal relationships and a culture of collaboration are the main driving forces of participatory management, determining the sustainability of educational quality at the elementary school level.
