IMPLEMENTASI PASAL 19 UNDANG UNDANG NOMOR 8 TAHUN 1999 TENTANG PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN TERKAIT BENTUK GANTI KERUGIAN TERHADAP KONSUMEN TELUR AYAM DI KABUPATEN TABANAN

Abstrak

This study aims to determine: (1) How is the implementation of Article 19 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection for chicken egg consumers in Tabanan Regency, (2) What form of compensation should be given by business actors to chicken egg consumers who experience losses. The type of research used is descriptive empirical legal research. The determination of the sample used is non-probability sampling with the snowball sampling method, namely the drawing of samples is based on the appointment or recommendation of the previous sample, there are no definite provisions in the form of numbers or percentages regarding the number of samples to be studied with the large number of samples based on the saturation point. Data processing and analysis are carried out descriptively qualitatively. Based on the study, it can be seen that the implementation of Article 19 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection for chicken egg consumers in Tabanan Regency has not been effectively implemented by business actors in the jurisdiction of Tabanan Regency, resulting in a weak legal culture in society, especially business actors, regarding the understanding of the obligations and responsibilities of business actors. The form of compensation that should be given by business actors to chicken egg consumers who experience losses can be in the form of a refund or replacement of goods. The implementation of Article 19 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection for chicken egg consumers in Tabanan Regency, especially regarding the form of compensation, has not yet been carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 19 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, this is due to the lack of public understanding regarding applicable laws.
