Peer Review

The Indonesian Journal of Educational Inquiry is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring the publication of high-quality research through a rigorous peer-review process. The journal adheres to the following review protocol:

1. Initial Submission Check

All submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary review by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and quality standards. Submissions that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

The journal employs a double-blind peer review process to maintain impartiality and objectivity. In this process:

  • Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.
  • At least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise are assigned to evaluate each manuscript.

3. Reviewer Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research.
  • Clarity and coherence of the argument.
  • Methodological rigor and validity.
  • Relevance to the journal's focus and audience.
  • Proper use of citations and adherence to ethical research practices.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accepted: The manuscript is accepted with minimal or no revisions.
  • Minor Revisions: The authors are required to address minor concerns before final acceptance.
  • Major Revisions: The authors must substantially revise the manuscript and resubmit it for further review.
  • Rejected: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or is outside its scope.

5. Revision and Resubmission

Authors are given a specified period to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated to ensure all concerns have been addressed adequately.

6. Final Approval

Once the manuscript meets the required standards, it is approved for publication by the editorial team.

The Indonesian Journal of Educational Inquiry is dedicated to fostering a transparent and constructive peer-review process that supports authors in improving the quality of their research while upholding the journal’s commitment to academic excellence.
