Correction and Retraction Policy

Jurnal Teknologi Pembelajaran Indonesia is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal will take appropriate action when errors or concerns affecting the reliability or ethical integrity of a published article are identified.

1. Corrections

A correction may be published when an error is identified in a published article that does not invalidate its main findings or conclusions. Such errors may include mistakes in author names, affiliations, funding information, data presentation, figures, tables, or other relevant content.

Requests for corrections may be submitted by authors, readers, or other concerned parties to the editorial team. The editor will assess the nature and significance of the error and determine whether a correction is necessary. Approved corrections will be published transparently and linked to the original article, where applicable.

2. Retractions

A published article may be retracted when there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable due to major errors, data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or other serious violations of publication ethics.

A retraction may also be considered when an investigation establishes that the article substantially violates the journal’s ethical standards or that its continued publication would compromise the integrity of the scholarly record.

Retraction decisions will be made by the editor based on the available evidence and, where necessary, following consultation with the authors, reviewers, relevant experts, or the authors’ affiliated institutions.

3. Retraction Procedure

When a potential reason for retraction is identified, the editorial team will assess the available evidence and may request an explanation from the authors or relevant parties. The authors will be given an appropriate opportunity to respond before a final decision is made, where feasible.

If retraction is warranted, the journal will publish a retraction notice explaining the reasons for the retraction. The notice will be clearly linked to the original article, and the original article will remain accessible where possible, marked clearly as retracted to preserve the transparency of the scholarly record.

4. Editorial Responsibility

All correction and retraction decisions will be handled fairly, objectively, and in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies. The journal will take appropriate measures to ensure that the scholarly record remains accurate and that readers are informed of significant changes to published research.

Jurnal TPI reserves the right to issue corrections, retractions, or other appropriate editorial notices when necessary to uphold research integrity and publication ethics.
