Allegation of Research Misconduct
Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan Indonesia takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and is committed to maintaining the integrity, credibility, and ethical standards of all published research.
Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation or inappropriate use of data, duplicate or redundant publication, unethical research practices, improper authorship, manipulation of the peer-review process, and other forms of academic misconduct.
Reporting Allegations
Any concerns or allegations regarding possible research misconduct may be reported to the Editor-in-Chief or the journal's editorial team. Allegations should be supported, where possible, by relevant evidence or information that enables the journal to conduct an appropriate assessment.
Initial Assessment
Upon receiving an allegation, the journal will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern falls within the journal's responsibility and whether there is sufficient information to proceed. The Editor-in-Chief may request additional information or clarification from the parties concerned.
Investigation
If the initial assessment indicates that further examination is warranted, the journal may conduct an investigation in accordance with applicable publication ethics principles and established editorial procedures. The journal may seek explanations from the authors, editors, reviewers, or other relevant parties and may consult independent experts when necessary.
All parties involved are expected to cooperate with the investigation and provide accurate information or supporting documentation when requested.
Confidentiality and Fairness
Allegations will be handled confidentially to the extent reasonably possible. The journal will seek to protect the identities of individuals involved and avoid premature conclusions. All parties will be given an appropriate opportunity to provide explanations or relevant evidence.
The journal will not consider an allegation to constitute proof of misconduct until the matter has been appropriately assessed and, where necessary, investigated.
Editorial Actions
When research misconduct is established, the journal may take appropriate corrective or disciplinary action depending on the nature and seriousness of the case. Such actions may include requesting corrections, issuing an expression of concern, retracting a published article, notifying the relevant institution or authority, or taking other measures considered appropriate.
If an allegation concerns an article that has already been published, the journal may publish a correction, expression of concern, or retraction notice when warranted.
The journal is committed to handling allegations of research misconduct fairly, objectively, transparently, and in accordance with recognized principles of publication ethics.
